New and Noteworthy

As some of you may already know, and if you don't: OMG GUESS WHAT?

We launched our second App for the iPhone just a few short days ago. Ninja vs. Samurai! Check it out here, my friends: Ninja Vs. Samurai

So what's even coooooler? Vendetta Studios' sophomore title has made the jump to New & Noteworthy in the app store in all three of it's categories! Woo!

It feels pretty exciting for us here at Vendetta. There's no better way to start the day then to see the baby you've coddled for the past few months crawling. W00t.

And then there's what really happened:

In 2009, Vendetta Studios commissioned the production of a series of commercials promoting their new game Omniball, for the iPhone and iPod touch.

However, the director went way over time and budget, only yielding a single ad and this footage that reveals what went on behind the scenes.

The Commercial of All Commercials

Prior to a game release, you've got to sit down and really dive in and figure out  how you're going to go about promoting your work.  Given the group of people that we are, one piece of criteria that needed to be filled.. fun. So what could be better than grabbing a camera, gathering your favorite people, and actin' a foo? Pretty much zip.

Below, I present to you the first in a series of videos we'd like to share with you.

P. S. We did in fact have a lot of fun.

Pie.

If you're here, and you're reading... it's very likely you've been promised pie. And maybe even a lot of it. But this is not a blog about pie, nor does it dispense pie. Oh, how we wish it did. On behalf of any dessert promising trickery done upon thee... I apologize.

Deliciousness aside, hi there. We're Vendetta Studios, and furthermore -- I'm Meg, your host today. Welcome aboard the USS Blog. There's a high possibility at this point that you're wondering, "Who the hell is Vendetta Studios?" I'll accept that.

It's simple. We're a group of people who make games. We're artists, we're writers, we're programmers, we're designers, we're business knuckleheads and yes we like pie. Several months ago, a small group of us came together and decided we were tired of waiting for the perfect opportunity to come along. We decided to make the opportunity for ourselves, and we got to work. Well, let's be honest. I honed my fighting skills and smashed my team members into submission.

A multitude of lessons learned, and some hard work later -- we're happy to say we''ve finally released our very first title for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Omniball.

Said beauty can now officially be found on the good ol' iTunes App Store for $0.99, and we really hope you'll check it out and let us know what you think. You can expect to see a few things from us in this first release such as survival, single versus AI, multiplayer versus, and multiplayer via Bluetooth, along side an online leaderboard where you can upload your latest scores.

We hope you'll stay tuned and check back in often to see what shenanigans we're up to, or if we ever really have pie.

Thanks for reading,
Meg
